When thinking about where I am going to record my radio programme, I would like to record in these areas:
Chadwell Heath Academy
When thinking about my short film, Chadwell Heath Academy is the perfect environment to film. This is because the short film is about screens and a student working late in a working environment. Considering on choosing this location to film, I will have resources in the school. Having the media room at my disposal, there are multiple computers for me to use to record my short film. This can save time when I am editing my short film. Furthermore, when looking at this location, I am able to have access to all the filming equipment I need. This is because this is where they store all the equipment. Also this is where I can start to upload my recordings in a short period of time after I finish recording. When I compare this to where I would have to record in another location, I would have to upload another day. When looking at the other locations I could film in, I can see that it would not be as effective. This is because when I am recording my film, it is based on a student in school. This means that I may not be able to portray this to the audiences well if I was to record in the other locations for my short film.
Library
When considering this location to film, I will be able to take advantage of the silence the library has. This means that I can create a better effect for the audience and they can have a more fun experience when watching the final edit. Furthermore, the library has old computers that can help build my story. This will allow the audience to connect more with the student when the are shown the final edit. Despite me having many advantages to this location, I have one problem that might occur. This problem is that I will not be able to film without the permission of the owners at the library. This means that I would need to speak to the owners about filming in the location after the library has closed. This is due to the storyline being about a student who is working alone. This can result in time being wasted and therefore it can delay the project. This means that I will not be able to meet the deadlines and can rush the time that is spent on editing. This can lead to not meeting the brief well enough. Although the library is a good location to film in, I will need to consider these benefits and drawbacks before I start to production stage of my short film.
My house
When considering this location to film, I will be able to take advantage of the setup my house has. This means that I can create a better storyline for my audience when they are watching the final edit. Furthermore, my house has has multiple computers that can help build my story. This will allow the audience to connect more with the student when the are shown the final edit. However, I do not have the old computers to help build suspense or create the anger the student will have. Despite me having many advantages to this location, I have one problem that might occur. This problem is that I will not be able to film without the permission of my family members. This means that I would need to speak to my family members about filming in the location. This is due to the storyline being about a student who is working alone and I would not need to have any other personnel there. Also, this means that my storyline will need to change as I will be filming in my house. This can result in time being wasted and therefore it can delay the project. This means that I will not be able to meet the deadlines and can rush the time that is spent on editing. This can lead to not meeting the brief well enough.
Studio
When considering this location to film, I will be able to take advantage of the multiple screens the studio has. This means that I can create a better effect for the audience and they can have a more fun experience when watching the final edit. Furthermore, the studio has a variety of computers that can help build my story. This will allow the audience to connect more with the student when the are shown the final edit. Despite me having many advantages to this location, I have one problem that might occur. This problem is that I will not be able to film without the permission of the owners at the studio.
